Is it safe to keep Biometric data of the staff in digital environments?

The systems we provide don't keep the actual image of one's finger print or face. During enrollment of staff, an algorithm produces a numerical template of scanned finger or face. This template is associated and then used to identify the user. This template is what is stored, and cannot be reverse engineered to reform the image of the fingerprint.
